Top 3 Prop Bets for NFL Week 16

Jalen Hurts Over 55.5 (Rush YDS) -112

Two weeks ago in Hurts first start against the Saints, I had predicted for him to have a rough day through the air against one of the best defenses in the league. Although my prediction was correct, I loved the way Hurts played, efficient throwing the ball, with a monstrous rushing performance. After another solid rushing effort against the Cardinals, it is time to hop on the train and ride Hurts’s over on rushing yards. The Cowboys rank dead last in the league against the run, so with a divisional game with playoff implications, expect the young gun to go out there and light it up.

Ben Roethlisberger Under 272.5 (Pass YDS) -112

It feels like it’s time to hit the panic button in Pittsburgh after the Steeler fell last week to the lowly Bengals. Last week's game adds an additional loss to the Steelers three game slide after starting the season 11-0. This week odds makers have predicted a lower scoring matchup between the two with the over/under only set at 43.5. With that being said I love Big Ben’s prop to throw under 272.5 passing yards. Roethlisberger has only surpassed the 272.5 yard threshold three times this season, and with a recent stall in the offense's productivity for a myriad of reasons, give me the under in the matchchup.

DK Metcalf Under 5.5 (REC) -143

Last time the two teams played, Jalen Ramsey had a field day shadowing Metcalf, reducing the super star receiver to only 2 catches for a measly 28 yards. While I predict Metcalf to come back with a vengeance, I don’t think it is likely that he logs 6 catches on one of the best corners in football given their previous matchup. DK has only logged over 5 catches in 35% of his games this year, and with the offense playing more conservative as of recent, I predict Metcalf going under on receptions.

Given the NFL’s schedule this week with games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, I have condensed my five favorite prop bets down to three. Not to fear, if you enjoyed reading this article you can follow me here on Twitter. I post predictions against the spread as well as more player props. I also host Wage n’ Rage on youtube, a show breaking down each NFL game against the spread, you can watch this week's episode for week 16 here.
