Michael Holland III might be the best CB prospect in the country that you haven’t heard of, yet. Having just signed in Mexico to play professional football for the Tequileros, the 24 year-old is one of the most athletic defensive backs on the NFL Free Agent market.
Let’s check out some of his impressive measurables 👇
Speed: 4.46 40 yard dash clocked by multiple professional scouts. See the speed for yourself here.
Height/Weight: 6’2’’, 195lbs
Vertical Jump: 36 inches, see the height in this photo below:
Michael has been running a 4.4 40 since 9th grade of High School. Check out his 40 yard dash on YouTube here.
Michael isn’t just all speed and athleticism, he has the refined mechanics necessary to make it at the next level. You can see some of his game film here. Check out the effort he puts into his practice drills here.
A natural athlete his entire life, he was all-area in high school for track and all-area and all league first team in football and track and field. he had Division 1 interest from Temple, Army, St. Francis university, Wagner College, and Bryant. He didn’t have the grades at first for D1, so he went the JUCO route at Valley Forge Military College, where he was all conference defensive back and made it to nationals for track and field. After Valley Forge, he accepted a D1 offer to play at Mississippi Valley State University, where Jerry Rice played.
It’s obvious Michael is a natural born athlete who isn’t afraid to work hard and put his nose to the grindstone to get where he wants to be.
All Michael Holland III needs now is a chance. He has put the work in, has the athleticism and skills necessary to make it at the NFL-level, and is willing to do whatever it takes to get there. NFL Scouts, if you’re reading this, give him a chance. If you want to reach out to him, you can find him on Twitter @Channel24Mike
