Chris Robin @DetroitBeastie
IDP waiver wire article on Thursday? What? How off and unorganized are you Chris? Easy now, let me explain!
In this fantasy sports world there are a million ways to go. Off on your own, being a jerk, helping others or fully supporting good content. What path would you choose? Remember those choose your own adventure books from the late-80’s and early-90’s? Come to find out life is a lot like those!
If you’re like me you skip around a lot. Read all possible outcomes, assess the risk and take the right path. That’s where the comparison differs. We can’t skip ahead in life. We can’t see the future and we most certainly can’t go back and start over. How do you choose to spend your time?
Fantasy Clinic and I had a great chat and we came to an agreement! It’s as simple as that friends. Waivers have cleared already yes but, that doesn’t mean some of the players listed below aren’t available. In the future I promise to get you my IDP waiver adds a littler earlier in the week! For today, better late then ever, right?
Here are ten of my favorite IDP waiver add for week 7!
Emmanuel Ogbah (DE - Miami Dolphins)
Safe to say Ogbah has finally broken out! If you remember correctly Manny was a 2nd round draft selection! Kid is on a horrid pace! I’d say, personally, he’s a must start at the position. He’s tied for 4th in the league with 5 sacks. He’s also had at least 0.5 sacks in five straight games! Miami is on bye in week 7 which is great news for those of you looking to add him! Do it now!
Brandon Graham (DL - Philadelphia Eagles)
Brandon is 4th in the league right now in BOTH sacks and TFL (tackle for loss). Looking ahead to the Eagles schedule, they face very favorable pass blocking match-ups. Plus, it’s the NFC East! A losing record will punch someone’s ticket to the playoffs!
Foyesade Oluokun (LB - Atlanta Falcons)
I don’t know what else this kid has to do to be added in 100% of leagues. I’ve been talking and praising him for months now. Even went as far to say he’d be the Falcons LB1 before long. Go double check your waiver wire now. He’s a must add!
Carlton Davis (DB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
Davis is averaging about four solo tackles a game. That’s a very nice floor for a cornerback in the right IDP scoring format. Plus, he’s seeing a ton of action his way. Which is fantastic for a DB! Most times a stud CB proves to be a better real life player then a fantasy player if that makes sense. Carlton should continue being a top-20 DB week in and week out!
Micah Kiser (LB - Los Angeles Rams)
Kiser was a nice under-the-radar add a few weeks back then was dropped across the board after being inactive last week. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure! You should know by now opportunity breeds fantasy points. Micah is an every down LB having five or more solo tackles in 4 of the 5 games he’s played in.
Leighton Vander Esch (LB - Dallas Cowboys)
Leighton averages around 6 solo tackles a game when he plays. That’s the problem with him. He’s always on the injury report. Finally played in week 6 after a long rehab from neck surgery. Kid has top-10 IDP talent but it’s demoralizing given his propensity for injuries. If he’s available, Vander is a low cost high upside waiver add.
Tracey Walker (S - Detroit Lions)
This is just silly! Walker is legit. He’s no doubt a DB1 week after week. If that’s the case then why are you mentioning him Chris? I’m just following the numbers and roster availability percentages. When it comes to IDP leagues I’ve noticed people move on very fast. Bye week? Drop. Bad week? Drop!
Leonard Williams (DL - New York Giants)
By now I’m sure you know the idea of streaming a position. I normally stream the DL position week-to-week. Leo makes for an excellent add in week 7! Be quick about it though! The Giants play tonight! The Giants schedule is very soft in terms of opposing offensive lines. Williams has averaged four tackles, one TFL and 0.5 sacks a game.
Josh Jones (S - Jacksonville Jaguars)
Josh has been a pleasant surprise for the Jags to start the season! His ownership numbers are climbing and we need in on that! Jones has put up DB1 performances in four of his first five games! In week 6 he had 8 solo tackles and 1 assisted tackle! We need to start taking him seriously!
Dre Greenlaw (LB - San Francisco 49ers)
Amidst all the awful injuries there has been a few bright spots for the 49ers. One of them is Mr. Greenlaw! In week 6 Dre had 8 solo tackles and a tackle for loss. There’s a direct correlation with his big games and when Kwon Alexander sits. Dre plays 100% of the snaps. Kwon still has yet to practice so go check on Greenlaw’s availability. He makes for a nice bye week LB!
Thanks for reading! As I said above, better late then never right? I promise to provide you fantastic IDP waiver wire adds earlier in the week moving forward!
